HEALTH

Do you provide a health guarantee for kittens?

Yes. Every kitten is placed with a signed contract between both parties. We offer a 72-hour warranty covering viral and bacterial illnesses, and a two-year warranty for cognitive or hereditary defects. Additionally, our kittens come with lifetime protection against PRA (progressive retinal atrophy), PK-deficiency (hemolytic anemia), and PKD1 (polycystic kidney disease), and a two-year warranty for HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy)..

What health tests do you routinely perform on your breeding cats?

All of our breeder cats are cleared for PRA-b, PK Deficiency, PKD1, FIV/FeLV (Feline Immunodeficiency & Leukemia Virus). They also undergo regular HCM screening beginning at 12 months of age.

Will the kitten have a vet check, vaccinations, and deworming completed prior to picking up?

Absolutely! No kitten leaves out cattery without being altered (spay/neuter), vaccinated, and dewormed. Families will receive the original records along with their new family member.

What is your parasite protocol?

Parasites and bacteria are common in all animals; the key is monitoring levels and clinical impact. We routinely test for Coccidia, Giardia, and Tritrichomonas Foetus. Our treatment schedule is:

  • Coccidia: Baycox or Albon at 4-6 weeks, with a repeat dose 10 days later.

  • Giardia, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and some tapeworms: Panacur for 3 days starting at 2 weeks, then repeated every 2 weeks until kittens are 12-16 weeks old.

  • Tritrichomonas foetus: compounded ronidazole from a veterinary pharmacy, used as needed under veterinary guidance.

After placement, we recommend topical Revolution to help prevent fleas, ticks, heartworms, ear mites, and round worms.

PURCHASING

Is your cattery registered with a registry?

Yes, our cattery is proudly registered with The International Cat Association (TICA) ensuring top-notch standards and recognition in the Bengal community. This is the registry that we show under.

Do you show?

Yes! We attend TICA shows usually within 3 hours of our home. Showing is an integral part of making sure the cats we are producing are in compliance with the most current breed standards. It’s also a great place to meet other breeders and our Notahill Bengals kitten families!

If you would like to be added to our wait list for upcoming litters, please take a moment to read through our FAQ and Pricing & Purchasing pages. Kittens are privately assessed during their first eight weeks to determine their potential for breeding and/or show quality. After this evaluation period, we begin contacting individuals on our waiting list in the order that reservations were received.

Please note that we receive a large number of inquiries and strive to respond as thoughtfully as possible. We are a small, private cattery rather than a commercial breeding program. Breeding for preservation and participating in shows are passions we pursue while also balancing full-time careers and our children’s school activities.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Are your breeding cats kept inside or in outdoor enclosures?

Our children are some of our best kitten socializing tools and as such, all of our breeders are kept indoors either within our personal home and/or their personal indoor cattery. Many of our cats enjoy spending time outdoors when the weather is nice and have fully secured catios and outdoor space to come and go as they please.

How frequently are your kittens handled? Where are they raised?

Our kittens are handled daily in their private nursery by members of our family. We strive for healthy, well-socialized kittens.
